Mark Niver, Board Member
Mark's first trip to Alaska was on a mountain Goat hunt with his father in 1972, he knew then that he wanted to move to Alaska as soon as he could. He would work one summer in Togiak, Alaska in a small fish plant in Bristol Bay. From Minnesota to Alaska he drove in 1977. Then started working for British Petroleum a month before the oil started flowing down the pipeline. He returned back to Bristol Bay in 1980, this time as a commercial fisherman and has fished the waters of Bristol Bay ever since. Mark and his sons spend their summer fishing on board the F/V Surrender.
